Technology related with our profession evolves very fast. For that reason If we can envisage relevant technologies for the future… we can bring forward our projects.
We need to know technology and its role for both incremental innovations and breakthrough ones. Moreover we should not forget that if the reason for our necessity of innovation is emergent markets opening we should not use breakthrough technologies… but we should apply an entrepreneur strategy based on mature technologies.
On the other hand, if the objective is to compete in our current markets, then breakthrough technology-based innovations are the way to competitiveness and growth. In this case such innovations should be carried out by the market leader.
